Celebration Week...Church Service

On Monday, 23rd June all children & staff attended St. Nicholas' Church for a special service relating to our move to the new school.

Reverend Teasdale guided the children through the decades since the school was built in 1910 & Mrs Watkins shared some memorable moments from the school's punishment book. Horseplay was just one of the examples of poor behaviour that came with a punishment way back when!!!

I think all of the children are releaved those days are past & the cane is no longer in use!

Week beginning 23rd June 2008, we held a celebration week, where we celebrated almost 100 years on Dunston Hill Bank. Many former pupils and staff were invited to attend a celebration evening in school or visit our school for a final look round before it closed for good on Tuesday, 15th July 2008. The vacant school building is now the property of Gateshead Council.
