As previously mentioned, this time next Summer, we will have relocated to our new school building along at Kingsmeadow. We would like to mark this final year at our current school, with a series of celebrations & special events
therefore, we would like to hear from former pupils, staff & parents as well as current, so that we can share our ideas & begin to organise how we would like to celebrate & remember our times at Dunston Hill Community Primary School.
Please post a comment on this weblog or contact the school regarding this.

I think there should be a couple of days in which ex staff and pupils can come along and there should also be photographs of the pupils and staff to see if they have changed and to see if they can remember the names of their classmates. Also, depending on what year they left, there should be seperate days over a month in which say the pupils that left between 2000 and 2004 should be able to get together for a few hours one day and discuss what it was like to be at the school and what they can remember about their former classmates

Thanks for posting your comment, Kelly. Once we return to school after the Summer, we will be forming a working party to work alongside each other & take everyone's ideas into account. We will post our plans on the school weblog & keep everyone up-to-date.

I would certainly look forward to meeting any old classmates or retired teachers that i had the pleasure of knowing. I left in the christmas of 1979 and have only been up to Dunston a couple of times since then. It`s a shame we have to say goodbye to the old building. An open day or two would go down great i think. You can count on me being there. Bring back the old teachers.

i think we should all have one big final disco and get together and create one big circle then get a bird eye picture of us all looking up to put in a big tank with loads of other things about this school and dig in underground for some one to dig up again 1000's of years later!

i think we should bring back teachers and pupils that had left the school between 2003 and 2007 and then we could have a big old party and talk about what it was like leaving dunston hill
